SIBU: A teacher’s dark secret of almost two years was finally exposed when he was arrested for sodomising a former student more than 50 times.
The man, who is teaching in a school in Mukah, was detained by the police yesterday after the 14-year-old victim could not bear it anymore and told another teacher of his ordeal.
Mukah OCPD Deputy Supt Jimmy Panyau said yesterday that the boy was said to have been sodomised by his teacher from August 2015 until May this year.
DSP Jimmy revealed that the victim, who is a boarder at the school, used to be invited by the 42-year-old suspect to stay overnight with him in a budget hotel in Sibu since he started schooling there.
“He had remained silent as he feared the teacher,” he added.
DSP Jimmy said this year alone between February and May, the boy was sodomised five times.
It was then that he felt enough was enough, and revealed the matter to another teacher, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
According to DSP Jimmy, the boy told the police that the suspect had anal sex with him 20 times in the teachers’ quarters and in a hotel in Kapit between August and December 2015.
“The victim also revealed that he was sodomised by the suspect about 30 times in a house in Kemuyang here,” he added.
The boy, who is from Kapit, has been sent to the hospital for medical observation.
The suspect was arrested at 10.40am yesterday from a rural school in Kapit.
“The suspect will be sent to the Mukah police station tomorrow for further investigation under Section 377 of the Penal Code,” he added.
The offence provides for a jail sentence of up to 20 years and whipping, upon conviction.

Seorang guru sanggup bertindak meliwat pelajarnya lebih 50 kali terbongkar selepas ditahan sepasukan pegawai dan anggota polis di Kapit, Sibu pagi semalam.
Memetik laporan Berita Harian berdasarkan sumber yang diperolehi, susulan laporan dibuat seorang guru lain di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Mukah sejurus mangsa mengadu mengenai tabiat seks songsang guru tersebut.
Pihak polis segera melancarkan operasi mengesan suspek sebelum berjaya mengesannya di Kapit, seterusnya menahan guru berusia lingkungan 40-an itu untuk membantu siasatan.
Sumber berkata, mangsa bertukar ke sekolah lain di Mukah akibat tertekan dan mengalami trauma susulan kejadian itu, namun tetap menjadi sasaran pelampias nafsu songsang guru terbabit.
Selain hotel bajet, mangsa juga pernah diliwat di sebuah rumah di Kemunyang, menurut sumber.
"Mangsa mendakwa diliwat lebih 30 kali sepanjang tahun lalu. Sepanjang 2017, suspek terus mengulangi perbuatan terkutuknya antara Februari hingga Mei lalu di Mukah."
Katanya, suspek kini ditahan di lokap Balai Polis Kapit dan akan dibawa ke dibawa ke Mukah untuk mendapatkan perintah reman.
Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 377 C atas kesalahan melakukan seks di luar tabii.
Sementara itu, Ketua Polis Daerah Mukah, Deputi Superintendan Jimmy Panyau mengesahkan penahanan berkenaan dan memaklumkan siasatan lanjut sedang dijalankan.- CARI |
