NOTTINGHAM - Seorang pengawal keselamatan, Jason Cooke, 25, dari sini mendakwa menemui imej raksasa legenda mirip Loch Ness menerusi enjin carian Google Earth di Internet, lapor sebuah akhbar semalam.

Raksasa Loch Ness merupakan haiwan purba air yang tinggal di sebuah tasik di Scotland.

Imej itu boleh dilihat menerusi Google Earth pada latitud 57°12'52.13 Utara dan longitud 4°34'14.16" Barat.
Cooke berkata: "Saya seolah-olah tidak percaya (apa yang dilihatnya). Ia menyerupai Nessie."

Perkataan Nessie merujuk panggilan popular makhluk itu yang diambil daripada nama tempat ia ditemui iaitu di Tasik Loch Ness di Scotland.

Peminat Nessie percaya makhluk itu ialah dinosaur plesiosaur, iaitu reptilia akuatik.

Nessie mendapat perhatian pengkaji apabila pakar bedah ternama British, Kolonel Robert Wilson mendakwa merakamkan gambar haiwan itu berenang di Loch Ness pada 1934.

nessie ni comel la scottish government pernah hantar kapal selam ronda2 kat dalam loch ness tu tapi takde pun si nessie ni. ada teori yang kata tasik tu ada lubang / terowong tersembunyi yang bersambung dengan laut dan nessie ni kadang2 duduk kat laut, kadang2 balik loch ness. entah2 kan nessie ni species jin pun boleh jadi juga kan, kejap ada kejap takde hehe

New documents show that as late as the 1930s, police in Scotland thought some sort of creature inhabited the Highlands lake. Police were so sure of its existence that they worried about how to protect it from hunters.

Newly released files from the National Archive of Scotland show that local officials asked Britain's Parliament to investigate the issue and confirm the monster's existence - in the interests of science. Lawmakers were skeptical.

The idea didn't get very far in the end. The files, released Monday, show that it was deemed better not to kill the monster - or the myth - by stationing cameras or observers around the lake. - AP

entah la aku cm tak caya je benda ni masih hujud..coz ada pendapat mgatakan cerita raksasa ni direka2 oleh penduduk tempatan bagi menarik pelancong ke kwsan tu
