CBS recently announced the details about "The Amazing Race" (TAR) Season 24 All-Stars Edition which will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. Check out the 11 returning All-Stars teams including Season 23's Leo and Jamal also known as the "Afghanimals."
The Amazing Race All-Stars Cast:
1. Margie O'Donnell and Luke Adams (mother and son) - Previous Seasons: Season 14 (3rd place) and Season 18 (8th place)
2. Herbert "Flight Time" Lang and Nathaniel "Big Easy" Lofton (Harlem Globetrotters teammates) - Previous Seasons: Season 15 (4th place) and Season 18 (2nd place)
3. Jet and Cord McCoy (brothers and Rodeo Cowboys) - Previous Seasons: Season 16 (2nd place) and Season 18 (6th place)
4. Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly (newlyweds, engaged in Season 20) - Previous Season: Season 20 (3rd place)
5. William "Bopper" Minton and Mark Jackson (best friends) - Previous Season: Season 20 (5th place)
6. Natalie and Nadiya Anderson (twin sisters) - Previous Season: Season 21 (4th place)
7. Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Kuhle (friends and Stealing Angels country singers) - Previous Season: Season 22 (4th place)
8. David and Connor O'Leary (father and son) - Previous Season: Season 22 (8th place)
9. Joseph "Joey" Graceffa and Meghan Camarena (YouTube vloggers and best friends) - Previous Season: Season 22 (5th place)
10. Jessica Hoel and John Erck (engaged, dating in Season 22) - Previous Season: Season 22 (9th place)
11. Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran (cousins) - Previous Season: Season 23 (4th place)
The 11 teams of "The Amazing Race" Season 24 All-Stars Edition were selected from the past eight seasons of the race competition series' last ten seasons. Seasons 12, 13, 17 and 19 were not included.
According to CBS, the 11 teams of "Amazing Race" All-Stars Edition will travel 35,000 miles or 56,000 km in four continents and nine countries including Italy, Malaysia, China and Sri Lanka. The contestants will be able to participate in various challenges throughout the course of the race including fighting gladiators and rappelling down dangerous rapids. TAR Season 24 was filmed from Nov. 16 to Dec. 6, 2013.
CBS also said that there will be a new twist in TAR's Season 24 wherein one of the 11 teams will be eliminated even before reaching the starting line of the race!
Who will win the $1 million dollar prize among the 11 returning All-Stars teams? Find out by tuning in to "The Amazing Race" Season 24 All-Stars Edition which will premiere on Sunday Feb. 23, 2014 from 8:00-9:00 pm ET/PT on CBS. TAR is still hosted by Emmy award winning producer and host Phil Keoghan, who has been hosting the show ever since it debuted in 2001.
