Public help sought to nab syabu addict            























PETALING JAYA: Police are reaching out to the public to assist them in their manhunt for Vasudevan Balan (pic) (810721-08-6655), the syabu addict who allegedly beat his wife to death in their Puchong Utama home on Friday.

The 33-year-old cyber cafe employee was said to have fled after allegedly murdering his wife and was last believed to be in Kedah.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said the post-mortem examination on the suspect’s wife, whose body also tested positive for syabu consumption, revealed that the woman had been a victim of abuse for years.

Doctors found that the 25-year-old woman had suffered a broken left rib and had bruises in various stages of healing.  



Some were fresh while others were fully healed or showed as scars.

“The wounds on her head and face suggest that the victim had been strangled and had her head slammed on the ground.

“We are still looking for this man and we urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to come to the nearest police station to assist in our search,” said ACP Yahaya.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Vasudevan had allegedly beaten his wife to death after he dropped off his two sons, aged six and two months, at his mother’s home near his house in Jalan PU 5, Puchong Utama.

Vasudevan’s brother went to check on the couple at their home.

On arriving at the home, he found the suspect’s wife lying dead on the living room floor.

Suspek bunuh isteri ditahan di Ipoh  

Subang Jaya: Seorang lelaki berusia 33 tahun yang dipercayai membunuh isterinya diberkas polis di sebuah premis di Persiaran Bekor, Buntong, Ipoh, Perak, kira-kira jam 11.30 malam tadi.

Ketua Polis Daerah Subang Jaya Asisten Komisioner Yahaya Ramli berkata, suspek yang berjaya ditahan oleh sepasukan polis dari Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Subang Jaya dan JSJ Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Selangor itu selepas tiga hari gerakan mengesan lelaki itu dijalankan. Beliau berkata, berikutan penangkapan suspek itu polis percaya kes bunuh terbabit berjaya diselesaikan.

Dalam kejadian 12.30 tengah malam Sabtu lalu, mangsa L Kanaga, 25, ditemui mati dengan kesan kecederaan parah di kepala dan badan di rumahnya di Taman Puchong Utama, di sini.

Yahaya berkata, kes disiasat mengikut Sekyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan.
