kay dewi pernah tgk yg kering jer kat supermarket. jom tunggu chef2 sini beri penerangan. dewi pun nak belajar ni. later2 tak lah jakun kalau baca buku resepi tu.

nutmeg / buah pala.

tak pernah guna tapi dlm buku resepi ader sebut serbuk nutmeg. yg dewi tahu makan buah pala beli kat penang ada lah

VANILA.. yg ni original form .. kadang ada gak dlm bentuk putih ketul2 bila picit jadi serbuk ( byk jual kat pasar raya) tapi biasa nyer pakai esen jer kan

menarik betul dpt kenal herbs ni... mcm julie ni mmg buta herbs... mana yg selalu guna dlm masakan yg simple2 je julie tau.. since baru jer bergelar isteri ni kan kena la lebih belajar memasak kan........

yup mmg bagus pun kenal2 rempah ratus ni lelagi org baru belajar masak cam kita.. sometimes dewi tgk resepi mcm nak try tapi bila tgk bahan2 yg tak pernah dgr ni terbantut semangat nak mencuba.

kalau ada yg tau pasal herbs n spice ni n ader gambar tu leh lah tolong tambah2 sini buat tatapan semua yer.

just a funny info on MACE

History/Region of Origin
Mace is indigenous to the Molucca Islands. There are both male and female trees and they are planted in a ratio of about 1 male tree for every 10 female trees. The Portuguese controlled the Mace trade until they were driven out by the Dutch in 1602. At one point the price of Mace was so high and nutmeg so low that one Dutch official, unaware that Mace and nutmeg came from the same tree, ordered growers to burn nutmeg trees and grow more Mace.

serbuk cili - pedas
paprika - kurang pedas dan lebih kpd memberikan kaler kemerahan dlm masakan kita.
