Welcome to Sabah, the land below the wind...

Those who have not yet set foot on this land, will find that there is a lot of interesting place to be discover beyond the wildest expectation.

I'll only show to you some of "a must see" place in Sabah, although there is a lot more, you can find more by visiting this website, which I quote alot from: http://sabahtravelguide.com/home.asp?page=mapguide

Kinabalu National Park

This Kinabalu National Park is maybe the single most attractions you can think off when visiting Sabah. Also known as "World Heritage Site" or "Tapak Warisan Dunia",this park hosts the highest mountain in South East Asia, Mt. Kinabalu.

Personal Experince: last year i visited Kinabalu National Park a few times. its been almost ten years since i come here (around 1995).I can say alot has change. But still, I wasn't able to climb Mt. Kinabalu well, i will definitely conquer this mountain in the future!

Poring Hot Spring

Around 40 minutes passing the Kinabalu National Park, you may find a hot spring, some 15 km from town Ranau. Poring literally mean "bamboo" in dusun language, in which name after that particular species of bamboo that grows surrounding the hot spring. Its a great place for jungle tracking, and also where you can take a hot bath on the open-air style bathroom.

Personal Experince: i've been to Poring Hot Spring quite a lot.Although it can get quite crowded, especially on saturday and sunday, but i personally enjoy strolling around, doing some jungle tracking. This place has a lot to offer. If you can manage, there is a waterfall, but quite far (i think around 1km or more jungle tracking).

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park

Located just across the sea facing Kota Kinabalu, is where the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is situated. The Marine Park is made up of 5 islands, known as Pulau Gaya (the biggest of all five), Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik and Pulau Sulug.

Personal Experince: off all five island, i only manage to set foot on Manukan island. Its a beautiful white sandy beach on the other side, and rocky on the other. Its been a while since i've come here

Tip of Borneo (Tanjung Simpang Mengayau)

Not very far from historical city of Kudat, Tanjung Simpang Mengayau is recently given a title "tourism destination". With white beaches, and a magnificent looking tip, you will most likely be mesmerise by it.Its the point where the South China and Sulu Sea intertwine. One of the reason to take a journey to the north of Sabah.

Personal Experince: I've come here so many time, and it never cease to excite me!The journey will take you around 40 minutes by car, now with only around 10 kilometers non-asphalt road.one thing i notice, the wind coming from both seas sometime can give you a weird 'feeling', so those who feel kind of different when on the top of Simpang Mengayau should take precaution.

Sepilok Sanctuary

A wild nature preserve, Sepilok Sanctuary is home to the large amount of flora and fauna.Mostly known as Orang Utan sanctuary centre. This is a great place to watch Orang Utan in its natural habitat.

Personal Experince: Well, i never have the privilage to come here..so not much i can tell you..
