Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt's Daughter Steals The Spotlight In Maleficent Photo
There she is, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt appearing opposite mother Angelina Jolie in the upcoming Maleficent. In the live-action re-interpretation of Sleeping Beauty, Jolie stars as the titular villainess with the intimidating headwear. Fifteen-year-old Elle Fanning was selected to co-star as the lovely but doomed Princess Aurora. And the five-year-old daughter of Jolie and Brad Pitt was cast to play the young(er) version of the soon to be sleeping princess. You might think it was nepotism on set, but actually Vivienne's casting turned out to be a matter of necessity.
EW, which provided the image above, spoke with Jolie and discovered that her transformation from red-carpet stunner to malevolent mistress of dark magic was so convincing that kids literally ran from her. Turns out the headdress, the cackle, and the claws were just too much for the would-be child stars who were up for the role. Says Jolie:
"The other 3- and 4-year-old [performers] wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv."
But these toddlers weren't the only ones freaked out by made-up Maleficent. Jolie also admitted her 10-year-old son Pax had his own moment of terror, explaining:
"When Pax saw me for the first time, he ran away and got upset — and I thought he was kidding, so I was pretending to chase him until I actually found him crying. I had to take off pieces [of the makeup] in front of him to show him it was all fake and not freak out so much."
Selling her kids on the movie itself is actually when Jolie realized why its story mattered. "I said, ‘Let me tell you the real story but you can’t tell anybody,’" she told EW. "The next day, I heard Shiloh getting into a fight with another kid, defending Maleficent, saying, ‘You don’t understand her!’ They got into a bit of an argument and I thought, that’s the reason to do the film."
Maleficent will mark Vivienne Jolie-Pitt's acting debut. However, she is not the only one from the Jolie-Pitt brood to appear in Maleficent. Pax and Zahara both served as background actors in the pivotal christening scene, where baby Aurora is cursed. Still, Jolie and Pitt aren't looking for their kids to follow in their footsteps. She insists, "We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That’s not our goal for Brad and I at all." |

When you two first fell for each other while working on set as the stars of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the world was just as surprised as Brad’s wife at the time, Jennifer Aniston.
Not that it’s unusual in Hollywood for hot co-stars to fall passionately in love with each other. No, the shocker is that your romance didn’t burn out as quickly as it ignited. Instead, here you are eight years later, with six kids — one, Maddox, a teenager — an engagement rock, and two careers that have actually become seriously distinguished.
At last night’s epic Oscars, you two looked completely happy and comfortable on the red carpet, holding hands and with Brad’s arm protectively around your shoulders, Angelina. Both of you have supported each other’s dreams to have more fulfilling careers, as well as to be great parents of a big family and to be huge benefactors of the less fortunate through your multiple charities. You have helped each other grow, and you’ve also survived two major traumas for Angelina.
First, she lost her beloved mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to ovarian cancer in 2007. Then Angelina underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery to prevent a genetically triggered occurrence of the same cancer that killed her mother.
Brad, you’ve been there with Angelina every step of the way, as her rock of support, as any fiance should be, calling her “heroic.” ”All I want for her is to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children,” you said after she revealed her double mastectomy in a New York Times op-ed. Nothing can either pull apart or draw together a couple more than a life-threatening illness. In your case, it just made you stronger and more in love.
So Brangelina, it’s time for the naysayers to shut up about how your love is too hot to last. It has survived and thrived. You have proved that true love can happen in Hollywood. |

Angelina Jolie is facing one more operation as she continues to recover from a double mastectomy last year (13).
The actress stunned fans last May (13) when she announced she had had both her breasts removed after discovering she was at high risk of developing cancer.
Jolie also underwent reconstructive surgery to restore her curves, but she admits her health battle is not yet over as there is still one more hurdle to overcome.
She tells Entertainment Weekly, "There's still another surgery to have, which I haven't (had) yet."
The superstar also admits she has been overwhelmed by the support and personal stories fans have shared with her in response to her big reveal: "Wherever I go, usually I run into women and we talk about health issues, women's issues, breast cancer, ovarian cancer. I've talked to men about their daughters' and wives' health.
"It makes me feel closer to other people who deal with the same things and have either lost their parents or are considering surgeries or wondering about their children. I was very, very moved by all the support and kindness from so many people."
And she is planning to turn to the same people to seek advice and tips on how to handle the next step in her recovery.
Jolie, who has not shared details of the looming operation, adds, "I'll get advice from all these wonderful people who I've been talking to, to get through that next stage."

Angelina Jolie Promises Brad Pitt Another Baby — Plans To Freeze Eggs
Angelina Jolie is about to undergo another brave preventative surgery, this time to remove her ovaries. Keeping his wishes in mind, Angelina has promised Brad Pitt another baby, and she plans to freeze her eggs so they can conceive through a surrogate. That would bring their beautiful brood to a total of seven kids!
Despite having another major surgery, Angelina Jolie is already selflessly planning on having another baby with her longtime partner, Brad Pitt.
In February 2013, Angelina Jolie made a bold and brave move when she decided to have a double mastectomy. The decision came after Angelina was tested to see if she was carrying the same genetic disposition that took her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, for which her results were positive. Now, Angelina is taking her brave preventative actions one step further by opting to have her ovaries removed.
Once Angelina’s ovaries are removed, she will no longer be able to reproduce on her own. Because of this, and because her partner Brad Pitt definitely wants more children, Angelina has promised him that she will have her eggs frozen. If the surgery to remove her ovaries results in her having to undergo a full-blown hysterectomy, Angelina has already planned to produce another one of Brad’s babies through IVF and a surrogate.
“Angie knows Brad wants more children, so she’s decided to freeze her eggs before the procedure so that they can add to the family in time,” a source revealed to Star magazine. “She’s amazing to muster the strength to face yet another major medical procedure and still plan for another baby.”
Angelina’s decision to take steps towards preventing a life threatening cancer from taking her life is inspiring, and knowing that she won’t let this stop her from having more children is truly incredible. What a wonderful role model Angelina is for women everywhere!
Angelina started adopting over 10 years ago when she took her son Maddox, now 12, home from Cambodia in 2012. Shortly after her relationship with Brad started on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005, Angelina adopted her beautiful daughter Zahara from Ethiopia. That same year, Brad announced that he legally adopting both Maddox and Zahara, and on January 19, 2006, Angelina had their last names officially changed to Jolie-Pitt.
In 2006, Brad and Angelina welcomed their first biological child together, a beautiful daughter named Shiloh who is now 7 years old. Next up, the couple continued to add to their Jolie-Pitt brood when they adopted their son Pax from Vietnam in 2007. The last time the couple added to their family was in 2008, when they welcomed two more biological children. Angelina gave birth to twins Vivienne and Knox on July 12 in Nice, France.
It’s been almost six years since they have had any additions, but now at least they have six awesome kids to help raise their next baby. |

Wicked cute! Mother of six Angelina Jolie has teamed up with Stella McCartney and Disney to produce a capsule Maleficent clothing collection for kids, inspired by upcoming live action re-imagining of

"I've always been a huge fan of Disney growing up, as was my mother [Linda McCartney], and I grew up watching all the films like most kids did," famed designer McCartney explained to WWD on Friday, March 21. "When the opportunity presented itself and I was invited by Angelina Jolie to visit the film set, I jumped at the chance."

McCartney has collaborated with Disney on multiple occasions. Back in 2010, she designed a jewelry line ahead of the release of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. She also featured Disney characters from Bambi in her fall 2009 ad campaign.
According to WWD, the Maleficent by Stella McCartney line will feature eight styles for kids ages 4 to 14. While the line will naturally include adorable princess frocks and shoes for little girls, beloved British designer McCartney is also targeting Maleficent's young male fans by selling cool T-shirts and sneakers. Prices will range from $75 to $185, and with humanitarian Jolie collaborating on this project, 10 percent of all sales from the line made in Stella McCartney stores and on the company's website will go to SOS Children's Villages.

While designing the line, McCartney sought inspiration from the titular villainess herself! "There is a bit of a darkness to Maleficent which can be really scary at times but at the same time visually brilliant," she explained.
Jolie similarly expressed this combination between humor and darkness in a recent interview. "Maleficent was always so elegant. She always was in control," the star told Entertainment Weekly.

But finding Maleficent's voice was apparently the hardest part. "It gets very, very dark," Jolie explained of her character's tone. "But it had these colors."
The line will be released in Stella McCartney and Disney stores worldwide at the end of April, ahead of the film's May 30 release.
